Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Care Partner AI (“Care Partner,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our medication-adherence and care-coordination service (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information you provide as a caregiver: name, email, password, and (optionally) your phone number.
• Care-recipient information you add: name, time zone, phone number(s), medications, doses, schedules, tasks, incidents, notes, and any documents you upload (which may include medical, insurance, or legal records).
• Messaging data: the content and metadata of text messages we send and receive (e.g., dose reminders and replies), and delivery information.
• Usage data: log and device information generated when you use the Service.

How we use information

• To provide the Service — send reminders, record confirmations, escalate to you when a dose is missed, and coordinate care.
• To process medication lists you upload or paste, using AI, into a structured schedule for your review.
• To authenticate you, secure the Service, provide support, and send service-related notices.
• To improve and maintain the Service. We do not sell your personal information.

SMS / text messaging

With consent, we send text messages to a care recipient's verified phone number — dose reminders, nudges, and confirmations — and process their replies. We may also text caregivers escalation alerts. Message frequency varies based on the schedules you set. Message and data rates may apply. Recipients can reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates. Sharing with the subcontractors that help us operate the Service (for example, our SMS provider) is limited to delivering the messages you have set up, and is never for those parties' own marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell your personal information.

Health-related information

The Service stores medication and care information to do its job. Care Partner is a consumer tool, is not a healthcare provider, and does not provide medical advice. We apply reasonable safeguards to this information, and we engage vendors under terms intended to protect it.

How we share information

We share information with service providers who help us run the Service, including:

• Twilio — sending and receiving text messages.
• OpenAI — extracting medications and generating care plans from content you provide.
• Resend — sending email.
• Cloudflare R2 — storing documents you upload.
• PlanetScale and Vercel — database and hosting.

These providers process information only to operate the Service on our behalf, under terms that prohibit using it for their own purposes. This does not include sharing mobile information or text-messaging opt-in/consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes — we never do that.

We may also disclose information to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Data security & retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no system is perfectly secure. We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and then delete or de-identify it, subject to legal requirements.

Your choices

You can view, edit, or delete care-recipient records and documents in the app, and delete your account by contacting us. Care recipients can opt out of texts by replying STOP. You may have additional rights depending on where you live; contact us to exercise them.

Children

The Service is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will provide notice, such as within the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service means you accept the updated policy.
